Looks for beautiful brides

Looks for beautiful brides

There’s nothing like the anxious excitement of a bride before her wedding day. According to VLCC, however, there’s one thing they shouldn’t worry about — looking their best. The company has launched 12 bridal looks from different regions and cultures — Punjabi, Gujarati, Muslim, Rajasthani, Bengali, Maharashtrian, Catholic, Tamilian, Andhra, Kannadiga, Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi. These options are available at VLCC centres across India.
VLCC’s bridal makeup is also available in the airbrush makeup technique — makeup is sprayed onto the skin using an airbrush instead of being applied with sponges, brushes, fingers, or other methods. Once airbrushed, makeup lasts for as long as 20 hours. It’s safe to share the airbrush as it never comes in contact with the skin.
PUNJABI BRIDE In this rich look, the eyes are done up in bright shades like ruby red and mahogany with lots of gold and bronze shimmer. The lips have a dash of maroon with plenty of gloss. The hair is made up in an elegant French knot with fresh flowers customized to match the tone of the attire.
RAJASTHANI BRIDE This look enhances the wheatish skin tone of the region using attractive shades of bronze, rust and other warm, earthy tones. The eyes are highlighted with mattified gold and bronze, complimenting the shades of fuchsia pink attire worn by the bride.
GUJARATI BRIDE This look uses bright makeup with a heavy base. The eyes are done up with a dark eyeliner, false lashes, kohl and lots of shimmer on the eyelids. Lips are enhanced with a deep shade while the hair is swept up into an updo with hair accessories.
MAHARASHTRIAN BRIDE This look is achieved with a
base eye shadow in neutral shades that can match all the five sari changes that occur during the ceremonies. The hair is done up in a long plait or a bun covered with mogra.
ANDHRA BRIDE Eyes are lined deep with kohl, with thickened lashes and shimmer on the eyelids. The lips are kept light with gloss, while the hair is swept up either in a French roll or elegant upstyle. A long plait adorned with flowers is also
an option.
BENGALI BRIDE The Bengali look has eyes that are enhanced using the base colour of the sari and contoured with a colour two shades deeper. Lips are highlighted with high sheen while the forehead is decorated with intricate designs of chandan. The hair is covered with a veil and adorned by a traditional mukut.
CATHOLIC BRIDE Fresh, nude rose lips complement dewy cheeks highlighted with apricot or peach blush.
The eyes are lined with eyeliner and lashes voluminised. A veil and a glimmering tiara complete the look.
