    Entrepreneur, advocate and Youth MNS leader Rajeev N Sharma tied the knot with Aparna Sharma recently. The grand wedding had Rajeev’s parents, Narendra and Lekha Sharma, playing warm hosts. The guest list was an impressive mix of MNS leaders, associates and other celebrities like Sharmila Raj Thackeray, Shalini Thackeray, Rita Gupta, Swati Nitin Sardesai, Yashmak Nitin Sardesai, Bharat and Dorris Godambe, Suraj Godambe, Nihar Pandya, Shirish Parkar, Haji Arafat Sheikh, Gajanan Rane, S Harad Sawant, Anita Raj, Naman Shaw, Abhimanyu Dassani and Ayush Agarwal.

Armed with looms, women are weaving a change in Nagaland

Traditional weaving lost out to power looms and was on its death bed, but a band of dedicated women in Nagaland has not only resurrected it, but taken it to the next level, spinning off an entirely new industry around it — loinloom-centered tourism. Sonnie Kath is considered to be the pioneer who breathed new life into loin loom weaving in Nagaland. Back in 2003, Sonnie, along with her two sisters, founded ‘Echo Self Help Group’ and reintroduced traditional weaving in Diezephe village, 15km from Dimapur, the commercial capital of Nagaland. “What started as an experiment involving 11 weavers has now turned into an industry of 200 women,” says Haiyale, one of the co-founders. “Depending upon the design and how much they weave, some women earn up to Rs 6,000 a month,” she says. Sikh wedding  According to the Rahit Maryada, which is the Sikh Code of Conduct, "A Sikh is any woman or man whose faith consists of belief in one God, the ten Gurus, the teachings of the Guru Granth Sahib and of the ten Gurus, who has faith in the amrit of the tenth Guru, and who adheres to no other religion." Nowadays there are about 23 millions Sikhs (word Sikh means "a strong and able disciple") living all over the world.
